Catch a glimpse of Steve in action with a clip from the Video Library!!
Below are a few samples of Steve's work. Since video clips can be relatively large,
I recommend High Speed Internet Access for most of these clips.
Most of the clips are being converted to wmv (Windows Media Video) files.
(Some of the following clips are in RealAudio format, which requires the RealOne Player program, available at the link below.

If you don't have much success with the video clips, check out my Audio Clips page.

The Steve Pemberton Trio recently performed an outdoor concert at Loyola Marymount University in LA.

... (High Speed Internet Access STRONGLY Recommended)...

This is a wonderful rendition of PATTI AUSTIN and the BOSTON POPS performing Ella Fitzgerald's version of "How High the Moon" (Patrick Williams arrangement), just the way Ella sang it, note-for-note... It starts off nice and mellow and then really swings into high gear. Now this is "big band" swing... 80+ pieces...

As an entertaining, "back stage" anecdote, you may be interested to know that this clip shows the first time Steve performed this piece with the Pops.... during the TV taping! It turns out that Gregg Field (Patti's normal drummer at the time) couldn't be in Boston for the taping, so Steve was called in to back Patti and jazz trumpeter Byron Stripling for the broadcast! Conductor Keith Lockhart, Patti and Steve had never performed this together before...

Jazz trumpet virtuoso BYRON STRIPLING got the crowd going with this one.... "Tiger Rag" is part of his tribute to Louis Armstrong. Check out his circular breathing toward the end! A great uptempo rag got the whole joint swingin'... My first time working with Byron, and what a pleasure - great musician, nice guy!

Another clip demonstrating Steve's ability to keep his fingers crossed and play at the same time... Another piece performed by Steve with no rehearsal with the orchestra.... straight to tape! Steve was called in to back Byron for the broadcast! Conductor Keith Lockhart, Byron and Steve had never performed this together before...

This clip will bring back memories of the famous Benny Goodman Carnegie Hall Concert in 1938... On July 4, 2003, Steve was featured with the BOSTON POPS ORCHESTRA during their CBS Fireworks Spectacular special. Catch this clip of Steve performing the Benny Goodman/Gene Krupa tribute, "Sing, Sing, Sing"...

Check Steve out with this swinging arrangement featuring the BOSTON POPS ORCHESTRA. Steve recorded this in Symphony Hall for the Pops' 2003 A&E Holiday special... Ahhh, it's nice to hear brushes every once in a while!

Here's another clip from the same Boston Pops A&E Holiday special... This clip features Steve with country artist VINCE GILL and the BOSTON POPS ORCHESTRA... performing Sammy Nestico's swinging tribute to Sergei Prokofiev.

Here's your chance to see Steve with the BOSTON POPS ORCHESTRA. This is a small sample of Steve performing with the Orchestra under the direction of conductor/composer John Williams at Symphony Hall, Boston, MA.

The PETER NERO TRIO... In an outdoor concert setting... we were just "blowing" several choruses because it was requested by the TV producers to fill ten minutes of TV time. So take a look and enjoy Steve playing some straight-ahead jazz!!

The PETER NERO TRIO... This cut came from a PBS special done a few years back demonstrating some of Steve's brush technique...
